Lauren takes a person-centered approach to therapy, emphasizing empathy, collaboration, and a non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported and understood. She has experience supporting children on the autism spectrum using evidence-based strategies such as positive reinforcement, token economies, social skills training, and play therapy to promote meaningful behavioral and emotional growth.
In addition, Lauren incorporates principles from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), including mindfulness practices and thought defusion techniques, to help clients build psychological flexibility and develop a healthier relationship with their thoughts and emotions.
Lauren enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and a variety of other mental health concerns.
Lauren earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Purdue University and is currently pursuing her master's degree in clinical mental health counseling at Capella University.
