Kate is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). Having worked as a therapist since 2012, Kate has experience, knowledge, and interest in working with many different populations and clinical presentations. Kate is passionate about connecting with people of all ages, though her areas of expertise are working with adults in individual and couples therapy. Commonly, Kate works with individuals and couples navigating depression, anxiety, OCD, BPD, trauma, infidelity, unhealthy communication patterns, divorce, grief and loss, parenting struggles, women's health, and life transitions. Kate is an LGBTQIA+ ally.

 

Kate has a friendly, warm vibe and values creating a comfortable atmosphere.  Her goal in sessions is that you feel like you're sitting with a real, authentic human being who sees you, hears you, supports you, and sometimes challenges you. Kate takes an eclectic approach, drawing from various therapeutic models that best serve her clients. Some models include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Family Systems, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

 

In addition to seeing clients, Kate enjoys supervising clinical interns and provisionally licensed counselors. She loves being able to work as part of the "Fox Fam!".  Outside of work, Kate enjoys dance parties with her kids, the occasional dinner out with her husband (without those darling kids), and laughing as much as possible.
