Neuropsychological and Psychological Testing Specialist

 

Dr. Nick is the owner of Fox Clinical Services and has over ten years of experience in the domains of psychological and neuropsychological testing. He has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in hospital, school, community, and private practice settings. Dr. Nick takes a comprehensive, yet highly pragmatic approach to his evaluations in which he seeks to provide the client and their family with the answers they are seeking. Based on the test results, Dr. Nick will create an individualized and eclectic list of recommendations that offer the client and their family a sense of direction. These include, but are not limited to educational, occupational, medical, lifestyle, and parenting recommendations. He works cooperatively with local physicians, schools, counselors, and various other treatment providers to assure that his clients are in good hands. He has built his business on his reputation and the majority of his referrals come from satisfied clients and referral sources. In addition to conducting testing services, Dr. Nick enjoys presenting on topics to the community that include autism, ADHD and executive functioning deficits, and academic challenges, among others. 

 

Dr. Nick was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago and has devoted both personal and professional endeavors to assisting those in need. This is evidenced by his past role on the board of a local nonprofit organization and his affiliation with various other charitable organizations. In his free time Dr. Nick enjoys spending time with his family, following the Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks, cooking, reading, exercising, and traveling.

Kate (Feifar) Kindle, LCPC | Licensed Clinical Therapist

 

Adolescent, Adult, and Couples Counseling ​

Kate is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC). With her years of working as a therapist, Kate has been able to work with many different clients with various presenting concerns. Kate is passionate about connecting with adolescents and continuously receives positive feedback and referrals for her work with this population. Kate has extensive experience running therapy groups and workshops for adolescents which is incorporated into her work at Fox Clinical Services.

 

Having obtained her Master’s degree in a marriage and family therapy program, practicing couples therapy remains a specialization for Kate. She has received extensive training on the Gottman Method and frequently incorporates this into her sessions. In addition to applying this model in session, Kate enjoys training other professionals on the Gottman method. Please see more about the Gottman approach on our website.

The joining (or rapport building) stage of therapy is important to Kate, as she knows if her client is not comfortable then it will be difficult to have a successful therapeutic relationship. Kate takes an eclectic approach and pulls from various therapeutic models that will serve her clients best. Some models include CBT, structural family therapy, person-centered, choice theory, DBT, psychodynamic, Adlerian, Gottman, and EFT.

 

Kate obtained her Master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Adler University. Prior, she received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Elmhurst College, with a minor in Spanish.

Christina Oxley, LPC| Therapist

Christina is an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor who enjoys working with diverse people of all ages and backgrounds. She received her Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2006. Christina has a genuine interest in hearing the story of others and supporting people as they work through life’s challenges.  She has a particular passion for working with adolescents and adults alike struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, addiction, body image issues, as well as emotions of shame, guilt and grief.  She enjoys working with women dealing with issues of pregnancy (pre and post-natal) whilst navigating parenting challenges and work. Christina is also passionate about children and draws from both personal and clinical experiences when intervening with children and their parents. 


Christina addresses clients holistically, seeking to understand their mental, physical, social, and spiritual aspects then applying evidence-based treatments to address individuals’ unique needs.  Christina has an acute awareness and sensitivity to trauma and offers a non-judgmental approach with a warm empathic environment.  She sees individuals as their own experts and views herself as a mirror to reflect back, enabling a client’s greater understanding of themselves.  Christina offers support and appropriate interventions to help clients work towards the changes they want in their life. In 2016 she became a certified yoga instructor and continues to practice regularly in support of her own overall health. When appropriate this experience is incorporated into therapy as breath work, mindfulness, and basic postures intended to support varying mental states.
 

The mother of two young and energetic boys, Christina grew up and currently resides in St. Charles. Christina strongly believes in continuing to work on herself both professionally and in all other aspects of her life. She loves learning and is always open to change.  In her free time, Christina enjoys reading, drawing, walking, and being outdoors.

Kimberly Loucks, Psy. D.| Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Kimberly Loucks specializes in Clinical and Forensic psychological assessment and therapeutic services. Common conditions assessed include ADHD, learning disabilities, behavior disorders, defiance, intellectual disabilities, mood disorders, personality disorders, substance use, interpersonal dysfunction, domestic violence, court ordered evaluations, and violence risk.

Dr. Loucks has obtained clinical experience in a variety of settings including hospitals, prisons, youth detention centers, as well as community mental health facilities. 

Dr. Loucks is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) and is also certified as a facilitator of Partner Abuse Intervention Program group treatment. She also is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in Indiana.

Brittany Snow, Psy.D.| Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Snow received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Midwestern University. She also received a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Snow has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in hospital, substance abuse, forensic, and private practice settings.

 

Dr. Snow’s warm and accepting personality creates a safe and collaborative environment for clients to openly express themselves. She uses an eclectic approach while in therapy. Some theoretical orientations used include Cognitive Behavioral, Behavioral, Person-Centered, and Solution Focused. Her areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, behavioral disorders, and life transitions among clients of all ages.

 

Dr. Snow also has significant experience providing psychological evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults. Her psychological reports include easy to read language and unique recommendations tailored to each client.

 

Dr. Snow also has a passion for working with adults going through the bariatric surgery process and conducts therapy and pre-surgical psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery and chronic pain patients.

Dana Hauk, Psy.D.| Post-Doctoral Fellow

Dr. Hauk enjoys working with children, teens, and adults. She strives to build a trusting, collaborative relationship with her clients and believes that relationship is the foundation for healthy and lasting change. Dr. Hauk works to help each client uncover the strengths and resources that will enable them to approach life’s challenges with a stronger sense of self-worth. She specializes in working with clients experiencing overwhelming stress or anxiety; whether as a result of family conflict, academic or learning challenges, domestic violence, grief and loss, PTSD, or other cirsumstances. Clients will benefit from Dr. Hauk's high level of clinical skill and her commitment to creating a safe and understanding environment. Ultimately, Dr. Hauk hopes clients leave therapy with the skills to

advocate for themselves, face challenges, and establish and maintain satisfying relationships. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to all clients and will work with psychiatrists, medical providers, school staff, etc. as needed.

 

Dr. Hauk completed both her Masters and Doctorate at the Adler School of Professional Psychology (now Adler University). She is certified as a Partner Abuse Intervention Program facilitator. She is also certified to work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Dr. Hauk works in a volunteer capacity with the American Cancer Society and the Community Crisis Center. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, party planning and craft projects, board games, and escape rooms.

Shannon is a licensed social worker, having earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work from Aurora University. She specializes in child, adolescent, adult, and family therapy and is a certified child and adolescent trauma professional. Shannon has extensive experience working with children and adolescents, having spent over 20 years in early childhood prior to pursuing a career in social work.

Shannon’s clinical experience has afforded her the opportunity to work with several presenting concerns including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, gender-identity, attachment disorders, trauma, ADHD, phobias, social skills, and ASD disorders.  Shannon utilizes a broad range of modalities tailored to suit the individual client.  Some theories utilized include CBT, Attachment Theory, Systems Theory, and Play Therapy, in addition to working to foster stronger connections within family systems. 

Having an adolescent of her own, Shannon tends to build rapport quickly and effortlessly with children and parents alike. In her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, playing video games, and reading.

Shannon Woods, LSW, CATP| Therapist

Samantha is a licensed social worker with a rich and varied history of work in the mental health field. Her clinical experience includes work in residential, community mental health, law enforcement, and crisis intervention services. She has expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma related disorders, addictions, self-harm, behavioral concerns, suicidal ideations, psychosis spectrum disorders, and personality disorders. Samantha has experience working with young children to older adults.

 

Samantha generally utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) but will pull from other therapeutic modalities as needed to tailor treatment to the unique demands of the client. Samantha believes that emotions need to be released and will provide a safe and accepting environment for expression and growth. She upholds honesty, open-mindedness, and humor in her therapeutic approach. Samantha considers herself honored to be part of the growth journey with her clients.

 

Samantha obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Aurora University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Indiana Wesleyan University. Despite having obtained her degrees, Samantha actively seeks out learning opportunities on a regular basis to gain new knowledge to best serve her clients.

Dr. John Harrow specializes in adult, family, and couples psychotherapy, as well as psychological testing. He emphasizes acceptance, patience, and personal autonomy in cultivating a warm therapeutic relationship. Drawing on a foundation of cognitive behavioral strategies, Dr. Harrow connects with clients on an individual basis to identify their personal goals for therapy, social, and mental wellness. He recognizes the importance of client comfort, and builds strong alliances with clients that empower them to push their boundaries in a safe, intentional way.

  

In terms of style, Dr. Harrow values patience, approachability, and non-judgment when working with new clients. As trust is built and the therapeutic relationship matures, he enjoys applying humor and strategic self-disclosure to offer clients a range of perspectives on the issues facing them. Dr. Harrow considers maximizing the therapist-client connection vital for doing good therapy, and enjoys finding areas of common interest with his clients to help humanize the counseling process.

 

Dr. Harrow also specializes in administering structured clinical interviews, psychological assessments, and presurgical evaluations. In all testing cases, Dr. Harrow works with clients to identify areas of concern and build a case history before starting the testing process. He then assesses clients based on the information provided and offers clear, personalized feedback at the end of testing to ensure clients leave with a strong understanding of the results.

 

Dr. Harrow obtained his master’s degree and Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed his clinical internship at the APA-accredited Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign, Illinois. In addition to his experience in counseling, Dr. Harrow has a strong background in conducting clinical research and continues to apply the latest psychological findings to his work with clients.

 

In his free time, Dr. Harrow enjoys reading, writing, exercising, and cooking increasingly edible meals! He loves connecting with clients who have similar interests, and is thrilled to discover new hobbies from everyone he meets!

Sarah Creasor, MA| Therapist

Sarah Creasor earned her Master of Social Work Degree from Aurora University. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University. Sarah’s background in early childhood and special education were the driving forces towards pursuing her LSW and engaging in clinical work. Sarah is approachable, knowledgable, an excellent listener, and really makes clients feel at ease. She has a knack for treating challenging children and adolescents but also enjoys working with the adult population. Helping others is her passion and she is eager to put her clinical skills to work with our team at Fox Clinical Services.

Bailey O'Rilley, ALMFT| Therapist

Bailey O’Rilley is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (ALMFT). She obtained her Master's degree from Northern Illinois University in Applied Human Development and Family Sciences with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. Her Bachelor’s degree was earned at North Central College in Psychology and Sociology. Bailey is passionate about working with adolescents, adults, and couples. She has been able to work with a wide range of presenting concerns that include, but are not limited to anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma, mood disorders, and personality disorders.  

Bailey has completed training levels one and two of the Gottman Method and is a Prepare and Enrich facilitator. These extra trainings help inform her work with couples. In addition to these approaches, Bailey gravitates towards Bowen Family Systems, Attachment Theory, Emotion Focused Therapy, CBT, and Narrative Therapy. She feels that these theories are comprehensive and help the therapist see the client as a unique individual, as well as within their various complex systems. Despite gravitating towards these specific theories, Bailey will pull from other theories to tailor a treatment that is best fit for the client. Bailey is a firm believer in therapy being a collaborative process and strives to have the client feel heard, feel comfortable, and be an active agent in their therapeutic journey.

Rachel Kopf, Clinical Intern

Rachel Kopf is a clinical intern who is in the process of receiving her Master of Social Work Degree from Aurora University. She is also engaging in specialization tracks of child welfare and health care during her graduate degree pursuits. Rachel earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Miami University with a focus in child and family development. Her extensive experience in working at a specialized day treatment center with children and families who struggle with behavioral issues and practicing Applied Behavioral Analysis principles allowed her to recognize her immense passion for assisting those in need and furthering her career in clinical work. Rachel is knowledgeable, empathetic, warm, and caring, in addition to being a focused and heartfelt listener for all. She has an aptitude for advising difficult children and assisting families in need. In addition, she loves working with the adolescent and young adult populations.

Mandy Birkel, B.A. | Behavioral Health Consultant

 

Mandy Birkel, BA, is Fox Clinical Services' Behavioral Health Consultant. Mandy’s extensive knowledge, experience, and unique skill set in the mental health field provides Fox Clinical Services with a highly valuable resource. Mandy manages the billing, credentialing, and various other tasks behind the scenes that takes the burden off clients and allows clinicians to focus more of their attention on the clinical work. Her passion for helping those in need and extensive involvement in the mental health field make Mandy an invaluable part of our team. Mandy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
