Rebecca is a licensed social worker (LSW) who earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Aurora University. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages, with a particular passion for helping children navigate challenges and grow during formative years. Rebecca believes in the importance of involving families and evaluating the systems in a child's life, as behavior is often influenced by various factors.
Rebecca has experience in a partial hospitalization program for children, where she led group therapy sessions and family sessions to help stabilize clients experiencing intense symptoms related to their mental health diagnoses. She has expertise in managing anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, and disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, among others. Rebecca has experience with foster children and knowledge of the child welfare system.
With a friendly and warm approach, Rebecca focuses on validating her clients and creating a comfortable environment. She draws from treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) while maintaining a person-centered focus. Her practice emphasizes the importance of psychoeducation, teaching coping skills, and identifying patterns in behaviors and emotions.
In her free time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with friends and family, crafting, being with her cat, thrifting, and practicing self-care.
